Mesa Grande Housing Authority- Maintenance Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: The Maintenance Technician position is a full time, non exempt position supervised directly by the Housing Executive Director and Administrative Assistant in the absence of the Executive Director. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs to the 22 low income rentals as directed by the Executive Director and Administrative Assistant. The Maintenance Technician will also be responsible for maintaining the community grounds.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Perform routine maintenance on the existing 22 low income rental units
- Perform emergency repairs as needed to the existing 22 low income rental units
- Collect household waste and dispose of waste as scheduled
- Responsible for maintenance on the Housing vehicles and perform repairs as needed
- Clean and inspect Housing vehicles as needed
- Clean and maintain building bay
- Clean and maintain Housing restroom and kitchen
- Maintain the community grounds around homes including recreational areas
- Deliver notices/memos from the Housing office to the residents
- Participate in annual Unit inspections
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 18 years of age or older. Valid California Drivers License required. In addition to a valid California Drivers license, must be able to be insured to drive Housing vehicles. Handyman or Maintenance experience a plus. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to perform all duties of the position. Must be flexible with hours in the event of a maintenance emergency. Able to follow written and verbal direction.
HOURS: 40hrs/wk
Pay Rate: $14.00 – $16.00/HR DOE
